  Finding this gem of a hotel through CamperMate through their aggressive price of only $10 per person per night, we decided to try out the restaurant in the process.
  
  The beer was cold and the buffet dinner reminded us of home. Everything tasted good and we didn't get food poisoning (so that's a plus), although not everything seemed to be quite the freshest. The seafood chowder and salads in particular were the stars of the meal.
  
  The nicest thing about the Empire truly is the history found in and around the building, with countless pictures, articles, and memorabilia throughout and some historic buildings a short walk away. The interior is extremely dated, but definitely has a level of charm and if Ross picks up again in the future it certainly could be updated to a really cool space. The owner and chef were extremely friendly and very personable.
  
  Regarding staying overnight, the kitchen and bathroom facilities are clean and despite being a bit outdated were up to par. The laundry machines were all broken which was a bit of a letdown, and in reality the camping space was in a gravel parking lot - but hey, for $10 it's tough to go wrong.
